On the eve of his Heavyweight clash against Bermane Stiverne, Alexander Povetkin has once again tested positive for a banned substance.
World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman made the announcement a short time ago via Twitter.

Ostarine is the same substance that Lucian Bute tested positive for earlier this year, a revelation that was made following a draw against Badou Jack.
According to boxing journalist, Michael Woods of NYFights.com, Stiverne’s trainer, Don House has confirmed that the fight is off.
WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, who was scheduled to face Povetkin earlier this year before Povetkin tested positive for another banner substance called Meldonium, was quick to call out the fighter on Twitter and Instagram.
