CAMILLE ESTEPHAN, president of Eye of the Tiger Management

“We are proud of the card that we have put together for this gala on October 22nd because the fights that we will be presenting will be spectacular and will showcase boxers of quality. We are convinced that boxing fans will be more than satisfied with their evening and that it will be a memorable one.”

CRISTIAN FABIAN RIOS (21-7-3 6 KOs)

“I’ve been training very hard and have had a particularly intense training camp. I am highly motivated and am aware that it will be a difficult fight due to the power of David Lemieux’s punch. As a result, I’ve worked doubly hard at the gym. I’m ready to surprise him on October 22nd and to offer fans a fight to remember.”

MARC RAMSAY, David Lemieux’s trainer

“We’ve had a very hard, but productive, training camp. We’ve achieved all the goals that we wanted to and we still have some details to fine-tune so that we can present David Lemieux at his finest on October 22nd. When we decide to compete against a lefty like Rios, we have to focus on specific aspects in order to deliver a good performance. We must not overlook anything. This is why we’re working with very high-quality training partners.”

“ Rios is a tough adversary, very competitive on the international level, and who has never been stopped in the past. He has offered great performances, notably against prospect Tommy Langford and top-ranked world contender Jorge Sebastian Heiland. So we are working very hard during the training camp to ensure that David offers a superb performance on October 22nd.”

DAVID LEMIEUX (35-3, 32 KOs)

“I’m taking this fight very seriously, as if it were a world championship fight. My team and I are working hard to make sure that there won’t be any surprises on October 22nd. Rios is a tough opponent with very good boxing skills. I’m ready for this challenge and I can guarantee that he will never be hit as hard as he will be at the Bell Centre. On October 22nd, expect fireworks because you’ll see David Lemieux at his finest!”

“I was anxious to be home and compete at the Bell Centre, in front of my fans. It’s important for me to give them a show that will live up to their expectations. I’m convinced that their evening will not disappoint them because the undercard is also very exciting.”
