VERONA, NY (August 9, 2016) – Undefeated rising prospect Josue “The Prodigy” Vargas (5-0, 3 KOs) will battle veteran brawler Ira Terry (26-14, 16 KOs) in a six-round welterweight attraction that highlights undercard action this Friday, August 12 from Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York.

The August 27 event features Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN and ESPN Deportes action headlined by undefeated rising contender Miguel Flores taking on exciting once-beaten contender Ryan Kielczweski in featherweight action. Televised coverage begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and features a welterweight showdown between unbeaten contender Bryant Perrella and Cuban Olympian Yordenis Ugas.

Tickets for the live event, which is promoted by King’s Promotions, are priced at $60 for ringside, $35 and $25, and are on sale now (may be subject to additional fees). Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster, by calling 877-833-SHOW or by visiting the Turning Stone Box Office.

Additional action will see unbeaten super lightweight Kent Cruz (10-0, 6 KOs) in a six-round bout against Rochester’s Darnel Jiles (9-4-2, 3 KOs), undefeated prospect Darnell Pierce (4-0, 1 KO) taking on Louis King (3-2, 1 KO) in a four-round cruiserweight showdown and the pro debut of Rochester’s Ronnie Robidoux in a four-round super middleweight fight against Damien Lewis (0-2).

Round out the night of fights are a pair of middleweights making their pro debut as Larry Gleeson faces Simon Sayes in four-rounds of action, plus four rounds of super welterweights as Michael Pryor (1-1-2) battles Daniel Castro (0-1) and two more fighters making their pro debuts as Jonathan Perez squares off against Badraiel Smith in a four-round featherweight attraction.

The 18-year-old Vargas recently signed with Floyd Mayweather‘s Mayweather Promotions and dominated Ryan Picou in his U.S. debut in June on the Keith Thurman vs. Shawn Porter undercard in Brooklyn. Now fighting out of the Bronx, Vargas picked up the first four victories of his pro career fighting in Mexico. He takes on the 29-year-old Terry out of Memphis who has shared the ring with former champion Jorge Linares and top contenders Claudio Marrero, Haskell Rhodes and main event participant Kielczweski.
