Frank De Alba (22-2-2) scored an unanimous decision victory over Ryan Kielczweski (26-3) to open up PBC’s Toe-To-Toe Tuesday card on Tuesday, April 4.

The Super Featherweight contest took place live from the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, PA on FS1.

In a bout that lasted the full eight rounds, it was a tale of two different halves, so to say in what you call would be football speak. Kielczweski showed flashes early in the fight, boxing and moving around De Alba, constantly scoring with straight right hands and head movement.

Kielczweski, who they call “The Polish Prince,” stumbled De Alba in the final 40 seconds of Round 2 with a right hand counter.

It was as like a punch woke De Alba up because from the third round on, he fought his fight and was in control.

De Alba was able to relax and take the fight inside and constantly landed counter right hands through the mid rounds. Kielczweski tried to find his rhythm late in the fight, but it was a bit mystifying as it seemed he didn’t let his hands go in the final two rounds.

Maybe Kielczweski thought he had the fight in the bag? Or did he wear down? When the scorecards were announced, 80-72, 77-75 and 77-75, it seemed like the judges got it right.

Frank De Alba outworked Ryan Kielczweski for his unanimous-decision victory.
