On July 16, 2016, Guillermo Rigondeaux ended a fight with one punch.

The 35-year-old Super Bantamweight champion was scheduled to fight for 12 rounds against James Dickens at the Ice Arena in Wales, United Kingdom.

However, though many expected yet another boring fight, Rigondeaux ended matters in Round 2 with a right hand that immediately broke Dickens’s jaw.

Dickens, a 25-year-old native of Liverpool, United Kingdom, was forced to end the fight while on the stool, unable to continue into Round 3.

Rigondeaux, a 35-year-old native of Cuba, retains his WBA strap and had a message for others in his division.

“I’m here to face everyone. I want to give the fans what they want—those guys need to stop running,” said Rigondeaux.

[otw_shortcode_quote border=”bordered” border_style=”bordered”]Step in the ring and see—people make it boring because they don’t throw a punch. I’m not the best, but I’m the most complete. I’m ready to stand in the middle of the ring with everyone, no more running around… All those guys that want their jaws ripped out, I’m here.

The time is ticking on his career, and he needs to cash out while he still can.
