On Saturday, November 22, 2014, Tony Bellew scored a split decision victory over former WBO Light Heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly in a 12-round Cruiserweight fight at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.
Bellew won with scores of 116-112 and 115-113, while one judge erroneously scored the fight 115-114 for Cleverly.
In the co-main event, George Groves knocked out Denis Douglin in the seventh round of a scheduled 12-round Super Middleweight fight. Groves will now seek to take on WBC champion Anthony Dirrell.
James Degale scored an impressive third-round TKO victory over veteran Marco Antonio Periban. Degale was quicker and faster than the veteran Periban, who had previously never been stopped.
Scott Quigg scored a 12-round unanimous decision victory over Hidenori Otake to defend a portion of the WBA Super Bantamweight title. Quigg won with scores of 119-109, 119-109, and 118-110.
