On the November 6 edition of LA Fight Club, Martin Honorio (32-9-1, 16 KOs) scored a ten-round unanimous decision victory against Miguel Angel Huerta (28-13-1, 18 KOs) at the Belasco Theater in Downtown, Los Angeles, California.
The 140-pound rematch was televised by Estrella TV in Spanish and RingTVLive.com in English.
Both men fought at close range during the entire fight, but it was Mexico City’s Honorio who landed more combination punches at a consistent rate.
Huerta, of Los Angeles, California, tried to work on the inside with Honorio, but he was often hit in the exchanges and was outworked by Honorio.
Honorio, 35, won with scores of 99-91, 98-92, and 97-93.
“It was a fight of vengeance for me,” said Honorio, who first fought and lost against Huerta back in 2002.
“I knew he was a powerful fighter after fighting against him in the past where I lost a split decision. This unanimous decision win was very satisfying for me,” said Honorio.

In the co-main event, Joet Gonzalez (12-0, 6 KOs) worked his way to a third-round knockout against Marcos Rios (12-1-1, 8 KOs) in a scheduled eight-round Featherweight fight.
Gonzalez began the fight by walking Rios down with his jab. Gonzalez smartly blocked punches with his gloves, and both men engaged in the opening seconds.
However, Gonzalez’s superior talent began to show by the end of the round as he landed a left hand that immediately dropped Rios, who struggled to finish the round.
Gonzalez them began landing punishing blows to the body, but never forgot to keep the pace at level he wanted with the jab.
Gonzalez consistent jab and work to the body led to a knockdown in Round 3 that he followed with a fight finishing left hook a few seconds later.
Jonathan Navarro vs. Shaun Henson, 6 rounds, junior welterweights

In the first televised fight, Jonathan Navarro scored a fourth-round knockout victory against Shaun Henson (2-3, 2 KOs).
Navarro scored a knockdown in Round 4 with a body shot, and continued with another shot to the body that ended the fight.
“I am very excited about this win. I felt really prepared having sparred with fighters like Brandon Rios,” said Navarro.
“I was glad I set the tone and was able to pace myself compared to my last fight,” said Navarro, who’ll be back training as early as tomorrow for a run.

Hector Tanajara Jr. vs. Ricardo Alvarado, 4 rounds, Lightweights

After dropping Alvarado twice, Tanajara scored a first-round knockout victory.
Damon Allen vs. Oscar Santana, 6 rounds, Lightweights

Allen scored a six-round decision win against Santana. The scores were 58-56, 58-56, 57-55.
Alan Campa vs. Paul Valenzuela, 6 rounds, Middleweights

Campa scored a UD win against Valenzuela.
“I felt good about the fight and well prepared. I wanted to come into the fight strong and assert myself early so I focused a lot on body shots which paid off later in the fight,” said Campa.
