IBF WORLD MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP DAVID LEMIEUX VS. HASSAN N’DAM

Montreal, May 13th  2015 – Eye of the Tiger Management and Golden Boy Promotions in collaboration with evenko, are proud to present the IBF world middleweight championship between Quebec slugger David Lemieux (33-2, 31 KOs) and Hassan N’Dam (31-1,18 KOs). For the occasion, the promoters have concocted a boxing card heavy in Quebec flavour : no less than 4 belts will be won Saturday, June 20th at the Bell Centre.

During his impressive win against Gabriel Rosado in New York, David Lemieux convinced  Golden Boy Promotions that he has the makings of a world champion. When the IBF title in his division became vacant,  the promoter did not hesitate to organize a confrontation between the young slugger (ranked 4th in the world) and N’Dam, the No.1 contender. Moreover, the co-promoter of the event and President of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya said he was very excited about the card on June 20:

“David Lemieux vs. Hassan N’Dam will be an action packed fight the fans in Montreal will be excited to see on June 20, as Montreal native David Lemieux faces off against the dangerous N’Dam for the coveted vacant IBF Middleweight Title. Hassan and David are both elite fighters in the middleweight division, both former and current title holders with fighting styles that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. This is just the kind of fight boxing needs to have; the fans want action in the ring and both David and Hassan are sure to deliver that.”

“It was really important for my team and I to bring this fight here to Quebec, says David Lemieux. You have supported me since the very beginning, and for that I am extremely grateful. I want to live this significant moment of my career with Quebecers and will do all that I can for them to be proud of me. I am ready to offer the very best of myself. Those close to me and my fans will see all the blood they want!”
