Nick Arce (2-0, 2 KOs) scored a third-round TKO victory over Lyonell Kelly (1-5, 1 KO) at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.

The scheduled 4-round Super Featherweight bout was on the undercard of the Welterweight fight between Pablo Cesar Cano and Juan Carlos Abreu.

Arce, 18, boxed calmly in the first round before a left hook dropped Kelley hard onto the canvas.

Kelly, 23, got back to his feet, but only to be hit with powerful right hands before the round ended.

Arce would have more success in Rounds 2 and 3 with his right hand, while Kelley was slowly fading due to Arce’s powerful combinations.

Kelley was no longer able to continue after Round 3 and the fight was immediately stopped.

After scoring another stoppage in only his second professional fight, Arce will look to fight again sometime next month.

Arce, who is trained by the Saucedo Brothers out of the Westside Boxing Club in Los Angeles, California, brought over 200 of his supporters to Indio–a more than 2 hour drive–and was successful in his first outing as an official Golden Boy fighter.
