On Saturday, July 2, 2016, Patryk Szymanski (16-0, 9 KOs) scored a ten-round unanimous decision victory against Wilky Campfort (21-3, 12 KOs) in a Junior Middleweight fight at the Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania.

The fight was the co-main event of the latest edition of PBC on ESPN, which featured Jamel Herring and Denis Shafikov in the main event.

The judges scored the fight 99-91, 98-92 and 99-91 for Szymanski.

Szymanski controlled the fight for most of the rounds, but halfway through the fight grew fatigued and had trouble with Campfort’s body work.

It was a test for Syzmanski, a 23-year-old native of Poland, and was one that he passed well. Though in Rounds 5, 6 and 7 Campfort landed hard shots on the inside, Syzmanski could barely be touched when he was on the outside, where he spent much of the fight.

Campfort, after being stopped by Jermall Charlo in November, suffers the third defeat of his career, while Szymanski improves his status in the 154-pound rankings.
