On the eve of one of the most anticipated fights of the year, Diego De La Hoya (12-0, 7 KOs) scored a ten-round unanimous decision victory against Giovanni Delgado (15-3, 9 KOs) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Diego De La Hoya vs. Giovanni Delgado, 8 rounds, Junior Featherweights

De La Hoya scored hard-earned unanimous decision victory against Delgado.

John Karl Sosa vs. Alan Sanchez, 8 rounds, Welterweights

Sanchez knocked out Sosa in Round 6. Sosa, who was previously undefeated, was dropped 3 times.

Horacio Garcia vs. Raul Hidalgo, 8 rounds, Featherweights

Garcia landed a powerful right hand that set off a flurry that immediately led to a second-round stoppage.

In what was a very tough fight for both young men, Esparza scored a majority decision win.

Both men exchanged and were hurt in the fight, but Esparza managed to get the nod on two scorecards.

Roy Tapia vs. Erik Ruiz, 8 rounds, Junior Featherweights

Tapia scored an early lead, but it was Ruiz who began landing more significant punches going into the later rounds.

Ruiz was smarter, utilized head movement and left Tapia a bloody mess before scoring a majority decision win in what was a tough fight for both men.

Jason Quigley vs. TBA, 6 rounds, Middleweights

Middleweight Jayson Quigley faced some adversity against a durable opponent today. Quigley went into a more careful approach in the last two rounds after being cut badly in Round two, but did enough to keep his opponent off him to win a clear decision.
