On Friday, October 7, 2016, Diego Magdaleno will take on Art Hovhannisyan in a scheduled 10-round Junior Welterweight fight at the Belasco Theater in Downtown, Los Angeles.

The fight will headline a three-fight telecast that will be televised on Estrella TV in Spanish, though the entire card will be streamed via RingTVLive.com in English.

The action begins at 5:30pm PT on RingTvLive.com, while the Estrella TV action begins at 7:00pm PT.

Diego Magdaleno vs. Art Hovhannisyan, 10 rounds, junior welterweights

Diego Magdaleno scored a 10-round unanimous decision victory.

“Hovhannisyan was a tough opponent, but I was able to outbox him,” said Magdaleno.

“I’m more ready than ever, and I’m looking forward to the new opportunities after winning this fight,” said Magdaleno.

Damon Allen vs. Luis Arceo, 8 rounds, lightweights

Allen, though winning most of the rounds, fought to a draw against Arceo. Allen faded in the later rounds and relied too much on his defense, which may have caused the draw.

All judges scored the fight 76-76.

“I knew it was going to be a tough fight because Arceo had a ton of experience under his belt,” said Allen.

“I made the fight harder than it had to be. It was a learning experience, and we are definitely going back to the drawing board after this. I want a rematch.”

Maricela Cornejo vs. Eliza Olson, 6 rounds, female super middleweights

Cornejo scored a unanimous decision victory against Olson. The scores were 59-55, 59-55 and 58-56.

“I used my jab, and kept my distance because Olson is known as an unpredictable fighter,” said Cornejo.

“I wasn’t pleased with the outcome-we all want to win via knock out-but I love the fact that I got to demonstrate good footwork and skills that will continue to empower women’s boxing.”

Joseph Aguirre vs. Roberto Rivera, 6 rounds, lightweights

Aguirre worked calmly as he pushed forward from Rounds 1 through 4. In Round 5, however, Aguirre scored a knockdown and then ended the fight with a shot to the body.

KD Round 5 via body sht, then stoppage

David Mijares vs. Jason Gavino, 4 rounds, junior welterweights

Mijares scored a first-round TKO victory after a series of uppercuts began a flurry that Gavino could not recover from.

Mijares scored a first-round TKO victory against Gavino.

Marvin Cabrera vs. Jose Cano, 4 rounds, junior middleweights

Cabrera won via first-round KO.
