Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Nicholas Walters

Both fighters used their footwork to move around the ring in the beginning rounds of the bout to get a feel for each other. Though Lomachenko was easily throwing more punches, he was also making sure to protect himself.  Through Round 4, Walters was not able to land anything substantial against the active Lomachenko.

Lomachenko’s combinations began to land mid-way through the fight, which seemed to frustrate Walters. As the fight continued, Walters was actively looking to land a show-stopping punch but he just couldn’t seem to find his opportunity.

Lomachenko turned it on in Round 7, outworking and simply outclassing Walters– Lomachenko’s Ring IQ is no joke. And after seven rounds of boxing, Walters’ corner made the decision to stop the bout. Vasyl Lomachenko wins via TKO and improves to 7-1, 5 KOs.

Konstantin Ponomarev vs. Silverio Ortiz

Early in the fight, Ponomarev established himself as the aggressor. Ponomarev was able to use his footwork to cut off the ring and land precise, clean punches in the beginning rounds. As the fight wore on, Ponomarev took complete control of the fight– his speed and combination punching were the difference makers.

Though Ortiz showed heart, Ponomarev was relentless in his attack and kept Ortiz on his back foot nearly the entire fight. Many times throughout the fight it didn’t look like it would go the distance, but Ortiz was able to hold on. The fight went to the scorecards and all of the judges scored the bout 80-72, Ponomarev wins via unanimous decisions. He improves his record to 31-0, 13 KOs.

Trevor McCumby vs. Donovan George

Trevor McCumby came out extremely aggressive and knocked George down quickly in the beginning of Round 1. He continued his attack and after several unanswered blows, referee Robert Byrd stopped the fight. All of this action took place in 1:48 of the opening round– Trevor McCumby remains undefeated and improves his record to 24-0, 19 KOs.

Maxim Dadashev vs. Efrain Cruz

In the first round of the bout, both fighters looked to get a feel for the either. Dadashev quickly found his rhythm in Round 2– with swift and speedy combinations he hurt Cruz enough for referee Kenny Bayless to stop the bout. The official time was 1:57 of Round 2, “Mad Max” Maxim wins via TKO.

Juan Jose Ruiz vs. Fernando Carcamo

In the first minute of Round 1, Ruiz knocked Carcamo down with a straight right hand. Ruiz continued his aggressive pursuit knocking Carcamo down again with a flurry of punches. Before Carcamo could attempt to get to his feet, the referee put a stop to the bout. The time was 2:43 in Round 1, Juan Jose Ruiz wins via TKO and improves his record to 18-0, 11 KOs.
