Jarrett Hurd faced off against Oscar Molina in a scheduled 10-round bout in the 154-pound weight division.

This was the co-main fight on the Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter card which aired live on CBS on June 25, 2016, as part of the Premier Boxing Champions series.

Hurd established his jab right from the start of the fight in round 1 and was successful at using his height and reach advantages to keep Molina at bay. At the end of the first round, Hurd landed a solid right uppercut which dropped Molina for the first time in his career.

By round 3, both fighters had put their jabs and straights to good use, mixing it up from the head to the body.

Throughout the fight, both fighters landed a number of power shots, but Hurd was more effective with the uppercut and on the inside which most likely gave him an advantage on the scorecards.

The fight made it all the way to the final round when, with only 1:08 left in the fight, the referee made a controversial decision to stop the fight following a combination by Hurd.

Hurd was awarded the TKO victory and remains undefeated with a record of 18-0.
