In the first of four title bouts on the Manny Pacquiao vs. Jessie Vargas card, former amateur superstar and two-time gold medal Olympian, Zou Shiming (9-1, 2 KOs) stepped into the ring for just his 10th time as a professional.

Across the ring from him was Prasitsak Phaprom (40-1-2, 24 KOs) in a rematch of their first bout back in 2014 where Shiming went home with a unanimous decision win.

In their first encounter, both Shiming and Phaprom engaged in an all out brawl with dirty tactics sprinkled in here and there.

Their second bout showed an all out dominating performance by Shiming.

From the opening to closing bell, Shiming controlled the pace of the bout and landed blows at will.

Phaprom would find success with sporadic haymakers, but lacked the necessary power to really make an impact in the fight.

Shiming would close the fight landing 344 of 778 punches thrown and winning on every scorecard with scores of 120-107 twice and 119-108.

With the win, Shiming captured the vacant WBO Flyweight title.

Shiming showcased his impressive boxing skills, which we all knew he had.

After creating an amazing amateur resume, he now adds professional world title to a long list of accolades and raises his stock in boxing.
