3 Things We Learned From Lucas Matthysse’s Win Over John Molina Jr.

In what could easily be considered Fight of the Year, Lucas Matthysse came back from two knockdowns to batter and stop John Molina Jr. to earn an 11th round TKO victory.

He is Still Must See T.V.

The Lucas Matthysse of 2012/2013 was always fighting on television.

After his loss to Danny Garcia, many questioned if he would return to the sport with rumors coming out of Argentina of retirement and deep depression.

Those questions were answered with his thundering punches on Saturday night as he once again showed he is as electrifying as ever.

I’m sure the blood and guts performance from Lucas Matthysse came out as the ratings winner between the three fights on the card.

Although it does help being with a very willing dance partner–in this case John Molina Jr.–Matthysse has yet partaken in a boring fight since hitting the big stage.

I’m sure he will have great opportunities in the future, especially with the mythical man, Al Haymon, on his side of the negotiating table.
