The Garcia Fight Took Something From Him

No I don’t mean his WBC Interim belt. It seemed like the once thought invincible Lucas Matthysse struggled a bit to start off the fight against the smaller John Molina Jr.

After being in a tough fight with Jr. Welterweight kingpin Danny Garcia, where he suffered his first knockdown and third career loss, Matthysse was knocked down twice by Molina Jr..

Although all credit is due to Molina Jr., many expected Matthysse would wipe the floor with him.

Matthysse looked a bit timid before the embarrassment of the first knockdown and threw less than his already usual slow start.

Although he still won, it begs the question, will Matthysse ever look as dominant as he did before the Garcia fight?
