In a video with FightHype.com, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum says a fight between WBO Featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (5-1, 3 KOs) and former WBA Featherweight champion Nicholas “Axe Man” Walters (26-0-1, 21 KOs) is a done deal.

Arum says, however, that he is just looking for a network to televise the fight–which HBO would be crazy to turn down.

Walters is a 30-year-old undefeated fighter who previously held the WBA 126-pound title. However, after not making weight against his first defense against Miguel Marriaga in June 2015, Walters was stripped of the title.

Walters, who is from Jamaica, moved to 130 pounds, so it’ll be interesting to see at what weight he and Lomachenko will fight.

Lomachenko, who is generally regarded as one of the best amateur boxers of all time, has struggled to find an opponent after his dominant win against Gary Russell Jr. to win the vacant WBO Featherweight title.

Although the 26-year-old native of Ukraine’s only loss came to Orlando Salido, he is given credit for taking such a fight in only his second professional bout.

Lomachenko is one of best technical fighters in the world, and it’ll be interesting to see how his skill plays out against Walters.
