Statement made! “Ammo” Williams promised to blast though the Middleweight door of contenders and did just that stopping Chordale Booker in the first round on the undercard of the historic Amanda Serrano-Katie Taylor world lightweight championship bout.

All week the 25-year-old Houston southpaw told anyone who would listen that he is came to New York City to steal the show from the ladies and might have just done that.

Williams mauled and overwhelmed the previously unbeaten Booker who was in utter disarray to what was happening to him from the outset of the first bell.

Pinning Booker on the ropes, Williams unleashed a furious assault causing Booker to eventually topple over prompting referee Charlie Finch to halt the bout and end prevent further damage.

Williams (11-0, 9 KOs) easily passed what was billed as his stiffest test to date with flying colors. Trainer Kevin Cunningham, who has a long history of training top southpaws, proclaimed his young charge would be ready to challenge for a world title with an impressive outing tonight,.
