INDIO, Calif., (June 2, 2014) – Undefeated Domonique Dolton suffered a hand injury in training and has been forced to withdraw from his fight with Hugo “The Boss” Centeno Jr. next Friday, June 6, on ShoBox: The New Generation live on SHOWTIME® (10 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the West Coast) from Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif. Undefeated Houston, Texas’ Gerardo Ibarra to take Dolton’s place.

Gerardo “Tin Tin” Ibarra (14-0, 8 KOs), 5-foot-9, 23-year-old boxer-puncher, is taking a huge leap in class for this, his first major opportunity as a professional. He is coming off a shutout, eight-round decision victory over William Johnson last Feb. 15.

Before turning pro in July 2008, Ibarra was a solid amateur, going 120-23, while winning and competing in tournaments in America and abroad. He won in the 2005 National Junior Olympic tournament, defeating undefeated pro Gary Russell Jr. along the way.

“To put it simply, I love fighting,” the confident, determined Ibarra said. “Boxing is about opportunities and this is a great platform to showcase my talent on a national network and I promise that after the fight everyone will know who “TinTin” is.”

In the ShoBox co-feature, New York City phenom Eddie “E Boy” Gomez (16-0, 10 KOs) faces Francisco Santana (19-3-1, 7 KOs) of Santa Barbara, Calif., in a 10-round junior middleweight match. The streaking Santana has won seven in a row.
