Britain, in recent years, have produced a slew of Heavyweight talent. Daniel Dubois (10-0, 9 KOs) seems to be following the mold. Dubois made quick of former title challenger Razvan Cojanu (16-6, 9 KOs).

The contest took place at The Royal Albert Hall in the United Kingdom on March 8 and streamed live on ESPN+ in the United States.

The results come to the surprise of no one as this is now the fourth loss in a row for Cojanu. What was surprising was just how dominant Dubois ultimately looked.

The bout started off with Dubois playing it safe with his much taller opponent. Dubois found plenty of success early as he began to land his power shots.

Cojanu refused to go down so easily and tried to use his awkward style to confuse his opponent. The game plan was not effective to say the least. Dubois was able to land whatever and whenever he wanted once he let his hands go.

The second round saw Dubois get much more aggressive. He was seemingly unafraid of the power his opponent had. Dubois bullied his man against the ropes and really began to land punishing shots. Cojanu was able to get a slight breather once Dubois was warned for hitting low. The referee’s quick halt did nothing for Cojanu as Dubois got right back to work.

The British prospect landed a flurry of shots, which saw his man go down. He did the best that he could to rise to his feet but could not beat the count. It was another impressive performance by a young Heavyweight that is starting to make some serious noise in the division.
