Although this will be the 29-year old Dargan’s first appearance on Friday Night Fights he is no stranger to fighting on the national stage. His last appearance at Foxwoods was a special afternoon edition of Fight Night on NBC. With his knockout of Perez in September, he added the Junior NABF Lightweight Title to his collection, which already included the USBA Atlantic Coast Region Lightweight Title. The WBC Continental Americas Lightweight Championship is a vacant title so Dargan will be looking to add a third belt to his collection on Jan. 30.

The 26-year old Luis is from Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. In his last appearance he defeated Wanzell Ellison in an eight-round unanimous decision. This will be the second ten-round fight of his career. In Luis’ first ten-round fight earlier this year, he lost the vacant USBA Lightweight Title to Ivan Redkach. After making his professional debut in 2008, Luis won his first 15 fights before.

Thomas Falowo, a local fighter from Pawtucket, RI is 26 and will make the second appearance of his career at Foxwoods. Falowo knocked out Zack Thomas in the third round in his last appearance in front of the Foxwoods fans. In his last fight he was stopped in the seventh round against Ronald Gavril in Las Vegas, NV. Falowo’s undefeated opponent, Russell Lamour, is 32-years old and will make his Foxwoods debut on Jan. 30. He kept busy in 2014 with five fights (all victories). This will be the third eight-round fight in Lamour’s career.

Main Events CEO Kathy Duva said, “We’re very excited to be working with ESPN and with Foxwoods again. Dargan had a big 2014 and we expect 2015 to be even bigger. With this fight, he’ll have another opportunity to pick up a regional title and move up in the lightweight rankings, but it won’t be easy. Tony Luis will press the action so Dargan will have to fight. On a national platform like ESPN, a big win in an explosive fight can catapult the winner to stardom. Both of these fighters understand that, so I expect a great fight on January 30th.”
