Rising Welterweight prospect Dusty Hernandez-Harrison (18-0, 10 KOs) has had an impressive 2013, fighting seven times since February and capturing the WBC Youth World Welterweight title along the way.

On Friday, November 22, 2013, Hernandez-Harrison looks to add to his resume when he takes on Marlon Lewis (6-2, 3 KOs) at the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware.

Hernandez-Harrison will be getting back in the ring a mere 20 days after winning his first title at Madison Square Garden on the undercard of the Gennady Golovkin vs. Curtis Stevens bout.

Dusty has shown continued improvement as his competition level has gradually risen and more-and-more people are starting to take notice.

Seeing how Hernandez-Harrison will perform after a short turnaround is only one of the intriguing aspects of this fight.

Lewis wasn’t shy about talking a tough game to Hernandez-Harrison on Twitter, even going at Bobby Gunn—who has a fight with Roy Jones coming up—in the process.

It’ll be interesting to see if Lewis is ready to back up his talk in the ring.

Lewis and Hernandez-Harrison both fought on the undercard of Gunn’s fight against James Toney on April 7, 2012, but since then their careers have gone in opposite directions.

Lewis hasn’t been in action since fighting to a draw against David Green on that night. All Hernandez-Harrison has done since then is string off 13 victories in a row.

It’s obvious that Hernandez-Harrison and Lewis are different caliber fighters, so the undefeated fighter from D.C. must not let the pre-fight chatter throw a wrench in his gameplan.

While the WBC Youth World Welterweight title will not be on the line, a victory for Lewis would be a shocking upset and jump start a career that’s been stagnant as of late.
