Marlen Esparza Earns First Career Stoppage Win, Calls out Seniesa Estrada

Super Flyweight Marlen Esparza (5-0, 1 KO) left no doubt as she battered Laetizia Campana (2-4) to win by knockout in the third round of Golden Boy Promotions L.A. Fight Club main event on Friday night at the Belasco Theater.

Super Flyweight Marlen Esparza (5-0, 1 KO) left no doubt as she battered Laetizia Campana (2-4) to win by knockout in the third round of Golden Boy Promotions‘ April 6 edition of LA Fight Club at the Belasco Theater.

Esparza earned her first career knockout victory as she made her headline debut in downtown, Los Angeles. The Houston native dominated Campana from the opening bell.

Laetizia’s face was red from eating one-two combinations by the time the referee stopped the bout at the 11 second mark in Round 3.

The Houston native attacked the body early and stunned Campana with a right hand in the first round. Esparza continued to stalk Campana in the second round and overwhelmed her with combinations.

“We worked on being more aggressive and landing the right hand,” said Esparza. “People aren’t used to seeing that side of me, so I showed it to make a statement.”

That statement was for Seniesa Estrada who was sitting ringside. During the post-fight interview, Esparza said she isn’t worried about Estrada.

“That’s why she’s here for me,” said Esparza. “She’s sitting down watching me. Did you see me point at her after I won? I want Seniesa Estrada.”
