Mexico’s Juan Francisco Estrada defeated Srisaket Sor Rungvisai in the action-packed rematch to win the WBC Super Flyweight title Friday night in DAZN’s main event at the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood, California.

Estrada, who avenged his loss to Sor Rungvisai. was victorious by 12-round unanimous decision with official scores of 116-112 and 115-113 two times.

The new super flyweight champion dominated Sor Rungvisai from the opening bell, taking a big lead early. Estrada started slow in their first fight before coming on late. This time it was Sor Rungvisai who needed a late surge.

“We came 100 percent prepared,” said Estrada. “He surprised me (by fighting orthodox) but I’m comfortable fighting right handers.”

Sor Rungvisai fought most of the night from the orthodox stance before turning back to southpaw in the 10th round.

Estrada easily out boxed Sor Rungvisai throughout the fight before eating some big left hands in the final two rounds.

Estrada was aggressive and seemed a bit faster than Sor Rungvisai, but the southpaw has dangerous power that he flashed towards the end of the fight.

A third match with Sor Rungvisai would be another must-watch bout, but Estrada said he wants to fight other champions.

“If he wants a third fight, I will give it to him,” said Estrada. “But I would prefer to fight some other champion first. That’s what I think is next.”
