It was a blazing hot night at the Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, Calif., as Juan Carlos Burgos and Yakubu Amidu battled it out through 12 tough rounds.
Both men had their moments in the fight and the three judges saw it three different ways.
Scores were 116-112 for Burgos, 116-112 for Amidu, and 114-114.
According to CompuBox, Burgos went into the record books.
Burgos' 1206 punches thrown #10 all time for lightweights in @CompuBox 28 yr. history. That's an avg. of 101 per round…

Although impressive, the high punch output wasn’t enough for Burgos to pull out the win. This marks the second consecutive draw for Burgos after fighting Rocky Martinez to a controversial draw earlier this year.
Burgos was hoping to land the winner of Mikey Garcia versus Rocky Martinez, but it remains to be seen whether that opportunity will be given to him.
Burgos is ranked the No. 4 Jr. Lightweight in The Ring ratings, which is one spot behind Martinez.
