Former British world champion, Carl Froch was impressed with the raucous crowd and scenery at the MGM Grand earlier today. What was the first ever paid weigh in turned out to be a success as both men made weight and were cheered on by their faithful fans.
Froch–who knows a little something about big boxing events having fought in front of 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium–was candid about his thoughts on the weigh in.
“This is just phenomenal. This is the biggest thing I’ve ever been involved with in boxing,” said Froch.
ESPN‘s Dan Rafael echoed Froch’s sentiments, saying that the much-anticipated weigh in lived up to the hype.
Had no service in arena for weigh-in but it was WILD. BY FAR best weigh-in ever. Truly TBE. #MayweatherPacquiao #boxing

Although the majority of the fans seemed to be behind Pacquiao, Mayweather was appreciative when speaking with Sky Sports regarding his career and fans.
“For 19 years as a professional, I wouldn’t be where I’m at without the fans,” said Mayweather
Mayweather admitted that he has been working on power during training camp and will be seeking a knockout of Pacquiao.
“I’m not overlooking this guy. I’m going to take my time and go out there and be smart… Am I looking for the knockout, yes, absolutely.”
The fight is now only one day away. After all the build up and hype, we’ll finially get to see who in fact is this generation’s best.
Will it be Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao?
