DANNY GARCIA VS. ROBERT GUERRERO CONFIRMED AS PART OF THE WBC WELTERWEIGHT TOURNAMENT
The WBC is happy to confirm that the important fight between Danny Garcia and Robert Guerrero to be held on January 23, 2016 at the Staples Center will be part of the unprecedented welterweight tournament.
The WBC during its world annual convention established a tournament in the welterweight and superwelterweight divisions after honoring Floyd Mayweather as the Emeritus Champion.
These concepts have captured attention all over the world and the highly anticipated fight between former WBC superlightweight champion Danny Garcia and former WBC welterweight champion Robert Guerrero will be part of this format.
The WBC has also accepted the inclusion of the winner between Cesar Barrionuevo vs. Azael Cosio to take part in the tournament.
