On Saturday, June 17, 2017, Pablo Cesar Cano takes on Fidel Maldonado, Jr. in a scheduled 10-round Super Lightweight fight for the vacant WBC Fecarbox title.

The bout headlines a card promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and will take place outside at the Tostitos Championship Plaza at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

The fight will be televised live on ESPN 2 and ESPN Deportes starting at 11:00 pm, EST.

The ESPN3 and ESPN App coverage will begin at 9:00 pm, EST.

Fidel Maldonado Jr. vs. Pablo Cesar Cano 

After 10 rounds of action, we went to the judge’s scorecards for a split decision victory. Final scorecards read 97-92 X2 and 96-93 respectively, giving Fidel Maldonado the win and crowing him the new WBC Fecarbox Super Lightweight Champion.

Joshua Franco vs. Oscar Mojica 

Joshua Franco and esteemed trainer Robert Garcia pull off the win over Dallas native Oscar Mojica. Both men went at it for most of the rounds, but Mojica never truly pressed on the gas to put Franco in serious danger. Franco took advantage at times when Mojica seemed to punch his self tired in some of the rounds. Final scorecards read 78-73 X2 and 79-72.

Travell Mazion vs. Evan Torres 

Travell Mazion improves his perfect record to 11-0 with decision win over Even Torres. Mazion and Torres both found success throughout the fight, but it was Mazion who impressed with the more cleaner shots.

Hector Tanajara vs. Eduardo Rafael Reyes 

Hector Tanajara goes the distance with Eduardo Reyes and wins a majority decision victory. Tanajara controlled the distance and pace for essentially all six rounds. Reyes did found spurts of success here and there but never enough to cause any major damage. Final scorecards read, 59-55 X2 and 57-57 respectively.

Vergil Ortiz vs. Ricardo Alan Fernandez 

Vergil Ortiz keeps his perfect record intact and adds another KO to his resume. Ortiz crushed Ricardo Fernandez with ease and cruised to quick knockout victory at just 2:09 of the very first round. Ortiz is now (6-0, 6 KOs). The young fighter from Dallas is certainly someone you want to keep an eye on.

Francisco Javier Martinez vs. Daniel Gutierrez 

Javier Martinez makes easy work of Daniel Gutierrez via a first round KO. Martinez came out guns blazing and landed a vicious left hook that quickly ended the evening for Gutierrez. Martinez improves to 2-0 with 2 KOs.

Alex Rincon vs. Zachary Briones 

Alex Rincon puts on a show in front of a hometown crowd and earned a 1st round TKO victory over Zachary Briones. Rincon landed blows at will from the start of the bout and brutally battered Briones in two minutes. Rincon improves to 2-0 with 2 KOs.

David Fabela vs. Kashiff Solarin

In his pro debut, David Fabela of Fort Worth, Tx gets his first win as a professional via knockout. Fabelo would dominate the bout from the opening bell and stopped Solarin 29 seconds into the 4th round.
