GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCES KEY STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH TECATE: INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED BRAND TO SERVE AS MAIN SPONSOR FOR BI-MONTHLY BOXING SERIES ON ESTRELLA TV
LOS ANGELES (January 8, 2015) – Golden Boy Promotions today announced a new partnership with Mexican beer powerhouse – Cerveza Tecate, BORN BOLD — to serve as the main sponsor on Golden Boy Promotions’ wildly popular bi-monthly boxing series featured on Estrella TV.
“Tecate is a leading brand, widely recognized and loved by boxing fans; we are thrilled to have them as our main sponsor for our popular fight series on Estrella TV,” said Golden Boy Promotions Chairman and CEO Oscar De La Hoya. “We have a long history of working with Tecate and look forward to partnering with them once again as we feature the future stars of boxing on Estrellla TV.”
The partnership with Tecate will begin with two previously announced stacked cards. On January 29 Tecate will launch its sponsorship at the LA FIGHT CLUB show featuring Julian “El Camaron” Ramirez taking on Christopher “S.D. Kid” Martin.
A week later, Tecate will again sponsor the February 5 event at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino featuring the grand return of Randy “El Matador” Caballero taking on Mexico’s Ruben Garcia.
