Statement made!

In what was about as dominant a performance as you can possibly have, Welterweight contender Jaron Ennis (22-0, 20 KOs) didn’t just beat Raymond Serrano (24-6, 10 KOs)–he absolutely destroyed him.

It took Ennis just two rounds to get rid of his man. Ennis dominated this fight in every way possible including knocking down Serrano several times before getting the stoppage.

The most impressive part of his performance was that he landed 44 punches compared to just four for his opponent.

Let’s be honest here, Ennis was supposed to not only win tonight, but he was also supposed to dominate.

With that being said, I don’t believe anyone saw this type of performance coming. He performed even better than anyone could have possibly expected tonight.

The combination punching, accuracy and deadly power were all on display tonight. Sure, Ennis dominated an inferior opponent, but it was the manner in which he did it.

In Round 2 Ennis landed a straight left to the body and a quick right hand upstairs that dropped his man. It’s his ability to always find a way to close the show that is also just as impressive and that’s what he did tonight.

The Welterweight division is full of not only great contenders, but great champions as well.

The kind of performance Ennis just had tonight puts everyone on notice that he’s on his way. It’ll take one hell of a fighter to stop this hype train.
