On Thursday, November 13, 2014, Joseph Diaz Jr. scored a fourth-round knockout over Roberto Castañeda at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.

The bout was the main event of a card presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Fox Sports 1.

After a slow first round, Diaz Jr., 21, of South El Monte, California, began to land vicious combination punches that snapped Castaneda’s head back in rounds two and three.

In the fourth round, Diaz Jr. landed several flurries that consistently kept Castañeda agaisnt the ropes.

At the end of the fourth round, Castaneda’s corner had seen enough and put a stop to the fight.

In the co-main event, Julian Ramirez scored a fourth-round TKO over Pedro Melo.

In the fourth round, Melo was cut via an accidental head-butt, but it was just a symptom of a total beatdown that Ramirez was implementing.

The corner, after seeing enough, stopped the fight after the fourth round.

In a televised swing bout, Jesus Delgado (3-0-1, 1 KO) scored a unanimous decision victory over Rick Quevedo.

Delgado (3-0-1, 1 KO) won each round via a vicious assault of left hooks to the body and chin. Quevedo had no answers for Delgado’s speed and strength.
