Julian Williams (17-0, 10 KOs) outboxed Jamar Freeman (13-3-2, 7 KOs) en route to an eighth-round stoppage to win the WBC Continental Americas Light Middleweight title at the Little Creek Casino Resort in Shelton, Washington.
The scheduled 10-round fight was part of a quadruple-header that was presented by Goossen Tutor Promotions and Showtime Sports.
Williams, 24, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, took the opening round to find his range and rhythm before landing combinations on Freeman, 29, of New Haven, Connecticut.
Freeman had a lot of trouble landing as Williams was able to duck and slip many of his punches, making it very hard for Freeman to set up his offense.
Williams eventually landed combinations in Round 7 that knocked Freeman down twice, although he was was able to survive.
Another flurry in the following round, however, quickly ended the fight.
