Undefeated Super Featherweight prospect Kevin “K-Smoove” Rivers Jr. (12-0, 9 KOs) is set to make his west coast debut on October 3, 2015 at the StubHub Center on the Lucas Matthysse vs. Viktor Postol undercard.

Undefeated Super Featherweight prospect Kevin “K-Smoove” Rivers Jr. (12-0, 9 KOs) is set to make his west coast debut on October 3, 2015 at the StubHub Center on the Lucas Matthysse vs. Viktor Postol undercard.

Equipped with a vicious offensive attack and a non-stop motor, Rivers has stopped his last three opponents by TKO. He’s scheduled to face the upset minded, Michoacán de Ocampo native Alejandro Ochoa who is 3-1 in his last four bouts and has defeated two previously undefeated fighters in that stretch.

Rivers–who will be fighting in his second bout as Golden Boy Promotions fighter–is looking to expand his fan base on an undercard stacked with talent.

“LA fans and west coast fans I’m coming, y’all gonna love me. I’m coming to put on a show. It’s a great card, you know Lucas Matthysse, I’m ready to see him put on a show and Golden Boy we’re here, it’s my time. I’m the next big thing.”

The 25-year-old Palmer Park, MD native is a decorated amateur national champion who finished his amateur career with an impressive record of 150–15. He has built a strong east coast following with impressive performances on Keystone Boxing fight cards and is anxious to prove he is a true contender.

“Next year, as a contender I’m coming. I’m getting ready to knock on the door for them title shots real soon. Be on the look out for big things from me in the future. Everything has its time and I’m coming.”

One unique advantage Rivers has working for him is the motivation he gets from his NoXcuse boxing teammates, Lamont Roach Jr. and D’Mitrius Ballard, who are also undefeated and highly-touted prospects signed with Golden Boy Promotions.

“It’s all love. All three brothers, we’ve got one mission. We’re all going after that title in three different weight classes. I look up to those young guys, you know they’re highly-decorated amateurs. Lamont [Roach Jr.] and D’Mitrius [Ballard] they put in work. We all push each other, we all work hard and I love that. This is what we want and it’s our time,” said Rivers.

If you’re lucky enough to be in attendance at the StubHub Center on October 3, you’ll definitely want to arrive early to see Rivers and a slew of other top prospects in action.

“I’m K-Smoove, I’m coming to put on a show. Expect nothing but a victory and give praise to the God upstairs.”
