On June 20 live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, heavy handed Middleweight knockout artist, David Lemieux (33-2, 31 KOs) will take on Hassan N’Dam (31-1, 18 KOs) for the IBF title that was stripped from Jermain Taylor earlier this year.

Both men are coming off impressive wins, with Lemieux having stopped the always resilient Gaberiel Rosado and Hassan N’Dam defeating Curtis Stevens in California. Both men held their media conference call on Wednesday May 20 to share their expectations of the bout.

Oscar De La Hoya opened the call by thanking all of the media outlets for their support and stated that he expected a full house in Montreal. After a brief intro, N’Dam, who was confident to say the least throughout the session, was given the floor.

“I feel good. This is a fight that I have been waiting for for a long time,” N’Dam said.  N’Dam, who’s only tasted defeat once in his career had strong words for Lemieux.

“My strategy is simple. I’m a complete boxer. I’m going to use all of the tools that I have to beat him,” N’Dam said.

“You better get ready, Lemieux. The spot you’re in, you didn’t earn it. You got it by chance,” stated the confident N’Dam.

Lemieux, who was calm and unaffected, then joined the call. De La Hoya, who promotes Lemieux introduced the boxer as a promising talent with rewarding showmanship and potential.

Lemieux, equally as confident as N’Dam, downplayed his opponent’s trasht talk. “Talk is cheap. We’ll settle this in the ring,” said Lemieux.

Lemieux has displayed his power in the ring, soundly thrashing opponents from turnbuckle to turnbuckle and feels he’s only getting stronger.

“My physical strength has been higher than it’s ever been. I am extremely confident in my fight against N’Dam,” said Lemieux.

This is most certainly a must see fight. June 20 live from Montreal, catch David Lemieux vs. Hassan N’Dam fighting for the vacant IBF Middleweight title of the world.
