On Thursday, April 20, 2017, Micheal Perez (24-2-2, 11 KOs) will return to the ring in a Super Lightweight fight against Marcelino Lopez (32-1-1, 17 KOs) at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, New York.

The fight will headline the latest edition of Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN.

Perez, 27, of New Jersey, is coming off a sixth-round stoppage loss to Peter Petrov, and it boggles the mind as to why he would take such a tough fight against Lopez, who has only one loss on his record.

Lopez is a 30-year-old native of Argentina with impressive boxing skills. Though he has spent most of his career fighting in Argentina, he will make for a tough fight against Perez.
