Lucas Matthysse will face Ruslan Provodnikov on March 28, according to a source close to Sherdog.com.
“Sources close to the situation informed Sherdog.com of the bout on Friday. The fight will likely take place at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., but an official venue has not yet been determined,” the report said.
Matthysse, 32, of Argentina is coming off wins against John Molina and Roberto Ortiz after his decision loss to Danny Garcia in September 2013.
Provodnikov, 31, of Russia, is coming off a win against faded veteran Jose Luis Castillo after his split decision loss to Chris Algieri in June.
