Micheal Perez (21-1-1, 10 KOs) scored a unanimous decision victory over Jared Robinson (15-2, 7 KOs) in a ten-round Light Welterweight fight at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The fight was the featured bout of Showtime Extreme’s undercard coverage of the Light Welterweight fight between Adrien Broner and Emmanuel Taylor.

Perez, who is slowly rebuilding his career after a six-round TKO loss to Omar Figueroa in 2012, was the much stronger and better skilled of the two opponents.

Perez, who is know trained by Robert Garcia and trains out of the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy in Oxnard, CA, looked sharp in each round, landing easily on an overmatched but game Robinson.

Perez scored a knockdown in round two, but was unable to capitalize on his skill and power to stop Robinson.

The judges scored the bout 97-92, 97-92, and 98-91 for the 24-year-old native of Newark, New Jersey

In the co-featured bout, Rau’shee Warren (12-0, 3 KOs) scored a unanimous decision victory over an overmatched Jose Luis Araiza (31-9-1, 22 KOs) in a ten-round Super Bantamweight fight.

Warren easily outlanded Araiza throughout the fight and even knocked him down in round nine, but does not possess the knockout power to stop someone as overmatched as Araiza was.

All judges scored the bout 100-89.

The 27-year-old native of Cincinnati, Ohio scores another win in his undefeated record, but we will need to see how he does with the upper echelon of his division, which is normally at the 118-pound limit of the Bantamweight division.
