DALLAS, TEXAS— Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum’s TOP RANK BOXING returns to Downtown Dallas on Saturday, June 25th.

After an exciting series opening event last January 16th, The BOMB FACTORY FIGHT CLUB is back in the heart of the Deep Ellum, at 2713 Canton St. Scheduled as the featured attraction is former World Jr. Lightweight Champion, MIKE ALVARADO (35-4…Denver, CO). Alvarado will battle former United States Jr. Welterweight Champion, JOSH TORRES (15-4-2…Albuquerque, NM) in an 8-round welterweight Main Event.

The nationally televised event will begin at 7:30 pm, with public doors opening at 6:30 pm. Seven bouts are scheduled for card that features many of Top Ranks top fighters and rising stars. All bouts are subject to change.

Tickets are ON SALE NOW. Prices are $28, $43, $63 and $88. Listed price includes service fees. Tickets are available online at thebombfactory.com and the Bomb Factory box office.

Headlining the undercard will be 2-time Russian Olympian and now middleweight contender, MATT KOROBOV (25-1, Russia) and undefeated Jr. Lightweight prospect ERIC DE LEON (12-0…Detroit, MI). Korobov will be taking on former top-ten world contender, BRIAN VERA (23-10…Fort Worth) in an 8-round Super Middleweight feature bout. De Leon, who is originally from Dallas, will be fighting an 8-round Jr. Lightweight bout against an opponent to be named.

Several top young prospects are slated for action as well. Former 3-time United States Amateur Champion, JOEY ALDAY (Odessa, TX) will be making his pro debut in a 4 round Welterweight contest. Houston’s ARTURO MARQUEZ (2-0), the son of former U.S. Olympian and world champion, Raul Marquez, is scheduled for 4-rounds in the Welterweight division. Alday and Marquez’ opponents, as well as the remainder of the card, are to be announced.

According to Arum, Top Rank’s return engagement at the Bomb Factory should be an exciting one for local boxing fans. “The Dallas card on June 25th is loaded with young contenders and top prospects,” said Arum, who has promoted the likes of Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao and hundreds of other world champions. “Mike Alvarado is an exciting, recent World Champion, still in his prime. He’s fighting a crossroads fight with a very tough and physical, Josh Torres. That should be barn burner.

“But perhaps even better might be the Semi-Main event fight between Matt Korobov and Brian Vera. Korobov is a skilled fighter, but willing to engage, which is good news for Brian Vera, who never met a brawl he didn’t want to participate in. A lot of people thought Vera beat Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. in their first fight in Los Angeles. He was that close to being a world champion. Brian Vera is a very rough fight, for anyone.”
