Today is Muhammad Ali‘s birthday and he will spend it at home, according to a tweet released by his daughter, Maryum.
Ali, the former Heavyweight champion from Louisville, Kentucky, was recently hospitalized for a urinary tract infection that was initially believed to be pneumonia.
Ali is also battling Parkinson’s disease since being diagnosed in 1984.
“My father, aka. Muhammad Ali, is at home and looking forward to celebrating his 73rd Birthday tomorrow,” the tweet said.
Ali is widely known for his legendary boxing career and for his humanitarianism, the latter of which has made a big part of his life since his retirement in 1981.
