Murphys Boxing will host the second event of their “Memorial Series” on Friday April 10, from the Memorial Hall in Melrose, Massachusetts.

Headlining the card will be Framingham, Massachusetts native, and Welterweight contender, Danny “Bhoy” O’Connor (24-2-0, 8 KOs).

He’ll take on veteran fighter Mike Clark (44-12-1, 18 KOs) who has been on a streak of tough fights since November 2013, losing to Edgar Santana, Sadam Ali, Jamie Kavanagh and Dusty Hernandez-Harrison.

O’Connor, a recent Al Haymon signee and former U.S. National Amateur Champion, contemplated retirement in late 2013, but came back to the delight of his large New England fan base to defeat Andrew Farmer by fourth-round knockout on October 30, 2014.

A card promoted by Golden Boy and televised on Fox Sports 1.

Murphys Boxing’s Ken Casey said of O’Connor,

[otw_shortcode_quote border=”bordered” border_style=”bordered”]“The most popular fighter in New England fighting in such an intimate venue Memorial Hall is a once in a lifetime thing. We are very grateful to Danny, he always loves to support a great cause.”[/otw_shortcode_quote]

The first “Memorial Series” event was held back on February 26, 2015 and featured Super Featherweight Ryan Kielczewski in the main event, and popular Irish Middleweight Gary “Spike” O’Sullivan as the co-main feature.

[otw_shortcode_quote border=”bordered” border_style=”bordered”]“Our first Memorial Series was a sell out and we couldnʼt keep up with ticket demand. The response from the City of Melrose and surrounding cities was huge. Now with Danny-O on the card and his crazy Clan OʼConnor fans, the demand will be insane. I would suggest getting your tickets as soon as you can, because they wont last.” -Ken Casey[/otw_shortcode_quote]

Tickets to see New England’s Danny “Bhoy” O’Connor at the Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA are currently on sale at www.murphysboxing.com and are priced at $100, $65, and $40. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
