Tuesday, December 30, 2014, Naoya Inoue (8-0, 7 KOs) of Japan scored an impressive second-round knockout victory over Omar Narvaez (43-2-2, 23 KOs) of Argentina.
Inoue captured his second title in only eight months, knocking down Narvaez a ridiculous four times. Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that Inoue jumped up in weight to capture the WBO Super Flyweight title on Tuesday night.
According to the Japanese Times, the young star revealed after the bout that he hurt his right knuckle in the first round. That injury didn’t stop Inoue who blitzed Narvaez for the duration of the fight.
The fight–which took place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan–stole the show on a talent-laden card.
