New York, NY (11/17/16) – On Saturday, November 19, DiBella Entertainment returns the Fox Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino, in Mashantucket, CT, for the latest installment of its popular Broadway Boxing series, presented by Cedars Mediterranean Foods, Nissan of Queens, Azad Watches, OPTYX, and Christos Steak House.

New Haven’s undefeated Luis Rosa Jr. (22-0, 10 KOs) will headline the card facing Japan’s Ryosuke Iwasa (22-2, 14 KOs), in an IBF junior featherweight world title eliminator scheduled for 12 rounds.

Opening up the event will be several amateur bouts presented by the National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA). The six-bout amateur portion of the card will feature boxers from the United States Military Academy (West Point), United States Coast Guard Academy, University of Massachusetts, University of Connecticut and Trinity College.

“It gives me great pleasure to present yet another National Collegiate Boxing Association event at the Fox Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino,” said Al Valenti. “The evening will showcase college boxers from the nearby Coast Guard Academy, UConn and Trinity College. A strong team will travel down from UMass Amherst and West Point will once again bring their well-trained cadet team. The NCBA held their National Championships at Foxwoods in 2013 and looks forward to providing a night of exciting Olympic-style boxing.”

“The NCBA is proud to partner with the world famous Foxwoods Resorts Casino on this exciting collegiate boxing event,” said Eric Buller, President of the NCBA. Foxwoods has a proud history of presenting outstanding boxing and we appreciate the opportunity to continue to be part of that history and, hopefully, its future. The mix of schools participating this year is unique in that we have traditional powers like the United States Military Academy and the United States Coast Guard Academy mixing it up with relative newcomers in the University of Connecticut, Trinity College and the University of Massachusetts. It will surely prove to be a very exciting night of boxing. As always, we must thank our volunteer coaches, doctors and officials that are vital to putting on this event and, of course, our great hosts and partners at Foxwoods and DiBella Entertainment.”
