LOS ANGELES, CA (Dec. 22, 2020): Golden Boy, the leading media and entertainment brand, announced yesterday the launch of an interactive sweepstakes that will give fans the opportunity to play against Ryan Garcia (20-0, 17 KOs) and Sean Garcia (5-0, 2 KOs) on Twitch, the live video game streaming service.
The Golden Game Sweepstakes is already underway and will close January 1 at 10:00 am PT. The contest invites fans from the United States and Mexico to enter at no cost by visiting https://www.goldengamessweeps.com. Winners will be chosen on New Year’s Day and announced live on DAZN during the Garcia vs. Campbell broadcast.
The first-place winner will get a chance to play a live video game with the Garcia brothers on a date to be determined. The interaction will be recorded and shared across Golden Boy and DAZN social media platforms.
In addition, five second-place winners will win a year-long subscription to DAZN, while five third-place winners will win a month-long subscription.
“With his massive online following, Ryan has the ability to bring in legions of new fans to the sport of boxing, and this is yet another way he connects with a largely untapped audience,” said Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy. “Given that Ryan is undefeated in the ring — and we fully expect he will remain so on January 2— this is also an opportunity for a lucky fan to do something no professional has done to date, which is to beat Ryan Garcia.”
In November, Golden Boy announced the ring return of Ryan Garcia, the quick-rising lightweight contender who will face Olympic Gold medalist Luke Campbell (20-3, 16 KOs) for the interim WBC Lightweight Championship on Jan. 2 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Garcia’s younger brother, Sean, will also fight on the card. Both fights will be streamed live exclusively on DAZN.
