Mike Tyson’s sensational return to the ring against Jake Paul will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

The former world heavyweight champion clashed with the YouTube star on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, making it the first ring appearance as a professional for Tyson since defeat to Kevin McBride way back in 2005.

At 58 years old, reactions from the boxing world were full of concern for ‘Iron Mike’ who put in a performance that proved he was way past his physical best, as he struggled throughout the eight round contest and seemed physically exhausted as the final bell rang. ‘The Problem Child’ was declared the winner, picking up his eleventh victory as a professional boxer.

One man who is all too familiar with Tyson is former two-weight undisputed champion and boxing legend, Evander Holyfield. The 62 year old Olympic bronze medalist locked horns with Tyson twice throughout his illustrious career, picking up victories on both occasions. Their second meeting ended with that infamous ear bite by Tyson, leading to the contest ending in disqualification.

Holyfield spoke to FightHub TV about his former rival’s clash with Paul and summed up Tyson’s performance in a few simple words.

“It wasn’t a good one.

You can tell something is wrong with Tyson’s leg. His balance was off.”

‘The Real Deal’ also commented on Paul after claiming victory over the heavyweight legend.

“He’s a pretty good fighter.”

‘Iron Mike’ is expected to go back into retirement, after initially revealing plans to fight on following his most recent defeat.
