Jake Paul is on the hunt for his next opponent after defeating heavyweight icon Mike Tyson last month.
The Youtube sensation turned professional boxer has won 11 of his 12 outings, defeating the likes of Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva along the way.
Paul’s only career defeat came at the hands of Tommy Fury in February 2023, with the Brit remaining the only active professional boxer ‘The Problem Child’ has faced since making his debut almost five years ago. Paul has received criticism for his choice of opponents, with many fans and pundits calling on the social media star to start facing boxers, rather than MMA fighters.
On multiple occasions over the last year, the 27-year-old has spoken publicly about challenging pound-for-pound superstar and unified super middleweight champion, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.
One of Canelo’s former opponents, Floyd Mayweather Jr, spoke to TMZ Sports to sum up Paul’s chances against the Mexican icon, giving the American next to no chance in the rumoured bout by claiming ‘he would get f**ked up’.
“He would get f**ked up by Canelo. There is no way, he would get demolished.
But for what he’s doing, as long as they keep getting YouTubers and putting him in there with MMA guys that are over the hill then he will continue to shine. I’m proud of him. They know what they’re doing. I can’t knock him.”
Paul’s next outing is yet to be confirmed, but it appears that the 27-year-old has a long list of fighters ready to challenge him in 2025, with four weight world champion Roy Jones Jr putting himself forward for a showdown with the Youtube star.
