In the co-main event, Jose Lopez took on Avery Sparrow.

Lamont Roach Jr. vs Rey Perez

Lamont Roach Jr. vs. Rey Perez, 10 Rounds

Lamont Roach Jr. put on a show for his hometown crowd, defeating Rey Perez by unanimous decision.

Roach Jr. officially took home the victory with scores of 99-91 three times.

George Rincon vs. Jihad Wise, 4 Rounds

George Rincon (3-0, 1 KO) of Carrollton, Texas scored a fourth-round TKO victory against Seifullah Jihad-Wise (3-4, 1 KO) in super lightweight division.

After Rincon punished Jihad-Wise for three rounds, the fight was stopped officially at the very first second of the fourth round.

Jose Lopez vs. Avery Sparrow, 10 Rounds

In the co-main event of the evening, Jose Lopez took on Avery Sparrow in a scheduled 10-round bout.

Sparrow took the fight to Lopez for the majority of the fight and scored an upset win.

Judges scores were 96-94 twice and 97-93 for Sparrow.

Manuel Avila vs. Diuhl Olguin, 8 Rounds

Manuel “Tino” Avila earned a hard-fought eight-round decision against an opponent, Diuhl Olguin, who was announced just a few days before fight night.

Olguin didn’t come to lay donw and fought tough, but dropped a close decision to the more well-known Avila.

The judges scored the bout 77-75 and 78-74 twice.

“I feel good about this win because I was working on different things,” said Avila. “It threw me off that the opponent was decided at the last moment and that I hurt my left hand. Overall, it was a great learning experience because I chose to work on thing and with a good opponent.”

Luther Smith Jr. vs. Lamont Capers, 4 Rounds

In the second bout of the evening, Luther Smith Jr. took on Lamont Capers.

Both men fired bombs for the better part of the four-round bout, and although he was knocked down in Round 1, Capers was able to come back and score a mild upset via split decision.

The judges scored the bout 38-37 Capers, 38-37 Smith Jr. and 38-37 for Capers.

“I did good,” said Capers. “They saw me as the underdog, but I pushed him and I conquered.”

“I wasn’t tired,” said Smith. “I simply wasn’t able to land the shots I wanted to land and that my coach was asking for. He [Capers] never hurt me, but he was a lot busier.”

Thomas Williams vs. Alberto Delgado, 4 Rounds

In the first bout of the evening, Thomas Williams and Alberto Delgado sloppily fought to a draw with judges seeing the bout 39-37 for Delgado and 38-38 two times.

Williams: “This fight went the same way as my last fight. All I can say is that Delgado is one tough guy.”

Delgado: “It was a tough fight. I gave everything, but I needed more power to win.”
