Oleksandr Usyk has enjoyed incredible success in recent years, including two wins apiece against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

The Ukrainian icon has won everything there is to win in boxing, holding the undisputed championship at cruiserweight and heavyweight.

He defeated ‘AJ’ back in September 2021 to claim the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles, which was followed up with a second successive victory over the 35-year-old in the following August to retain his crown.

In May last year, Usyk captured the undisputed heavyweight title in a historic win over ‘The Gypsy King’. He put an end to his rivalry with Fury just seven months later, securing another win over the Brit in Riyadh.

With both Fury and Joshua now set to make important decisions on their futures in boxing, it looks likely that an all-British showdown could finally happen in 2025.

Speaking to Boxing King Media, Usyk gave his prediction on the potential showdown between his former opponents, giving a surprising answer.

“Maybe Anthony Joshua. Maybe [on] points.”

‘AJ’ suffered a shock knockout defeat to IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois in September, leading to speculation that the two-time heavyweight king could walk away from the sport.

However, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed his fighter will continue his career, as he targets a rematch against Dubois at some point in 2025.

As for Fury, he is set to enjoy some time away from boxing with his family before making a final decision on his next steps, which could see ‘The Gypsy King’ finally hang his gloves up.
