A two-time Olympic Gold Medalist believes he is ready to conquer the heavyweight division.

Reigning unified WBC, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk cemented himself as the greatest of his generation when he defeated Tyson Fury for the second time last December, just 7-months on from their first encounter which saw the Ukrainian superstar become the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the ‘four belt era’.

Another fighter who has stormed to the pinnacle of the heavyweight division is Daniel Dubois, who currently holds the IBF world title. The 27-year-old from London made the first defence of his crown last September when he sensationally knocked out two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in the fifth round of their bout at Wembley Stadium.

However, amongst this crop of world class heavyweights is a rising star who is destined for success over the coming years, as he eagerly awaits his opportunity to shake up the division and become a world champion at the earliest opportunity.

Speaking to the Ring Magazine, two-time Olympic Champion Bakhodir Jalolov, who hails from Uzbekistan, claims that he is ready to fight for a version of the world heavyweight title now, as he targets all of the big names in what is a bustling division.

“After a long journey, I’m now ready to get a world title. I want to get it as soon as possible, I’m nearly 100 percent ready to fight for a world title. I’m ready to fight the great fighters in the heavyweight division. Usyk, Joshua, I’m ready to fight these fighters.”

Jalolov has won all 15 of his professional outings, albeit against below-par opposition. The 30-year-old is now looking to push on with his career, with many prominent figures within the sport backing him to rise to the very top of the heavyweight division in due course.
