Trainer Robert Garcia Is Certain Who Wins Canelo vs Terence Crawford: “He Could Even Stop Him Late”

Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford remain on a collision course for a potential fight in 2025.

It’s no secret that the boxing world are yearning for a showdown between the pound-for-pound stars to take place in the near future, and it looks like their wish could finally come true at some point in 2025.

Turki Alalshikh has again expressed his desire to make the fight happen in 2025, and if there is any man that can make a fight like this happen, it appears it would be him.

It was recently revealed that Crawford will make his return to the ring around May 2025, which subsequently aligns with ‘Cinco de Mayo’, a Mexican bank holiday that has played host to so many of Canelo’s ring appearances over the years.

Top trainer Robert Garcia, who is in the corner for the likes of Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez and Vergil Ortiz, knows both men and has predicted to K.O Artist Sports that it’ll be the naturally bigger man in Canelo who will get his hand raised and potentially even stop Crawford late.

“It’ll be a fight that does really good numbers. I think it’s a fight that will sell. Crawford will put up some good rounds.

I think that Canelo is the bigger guy and more experienced and I think in the later rounds, he’ll catch him and maybe stop him. But Crawford will put up a good fight. I know that for a fact.”

Alalshikh has delivered big fight after big fight over the last 18 months, and with the prospect of a showdown between Canelo and Crawford looming, fans could be in for another historic night of boxing.
